students constantly ask me what do i do with all my cakes?  hector’s take on ROSE’S heavenly CAKES:  Sticky Toffee Pudding (page 71) is served with a dollop of whipped cream fraiche together with the warm pudding cake and toffee sauce.

i pipe the creme fraiche in big dollops and freeze it.  this allows me to serve the cake in portions as needed:

not surprisingly!  hector’s take on ROSE’S heavenly CAKES:  Sticky Toffee Pudding (page 71) works baked on the microwave!

not surprisingly, this s some extra batter that i couldn’t fit on my cake pans, so i filled a pyrex ramekin, and kept it refrigerated for 2 days to see what happens.

on the third day, i popped it in the microwave, at high for 3 minutes, covered. and voila! it ‘baked’ very well and reached the perfect doneness temperature as proved with my thermapen.

here it is, enjoyed with some caramel ganache.

hector’s take on ROSE’S heavenly CAKES:  Sticky Toffee Pudding (page 71) is baked on individual pans, as per one of the recipe suggestions.

the pan used is a break apart silicone pan, each portion is about 1/2 cup:

this is a silicone break apart pan, but the portions are held together.  as you can see, this makes the pan quite wide and it touches the sides of my small electric oven:

hector’s take on ROSE’S heavenly CAKES:  Sticky Toffee Pudding (page 71) will have substitutions:

as i write on my facebook page:  “making a British warm pudding calling for dates and guinness beer. using Kona’s candied citron, wild strawberry preserves, and Koloa rum instead! I think rum is 4 times the alcohol? I am feeling irie…”
