Burnt 01 Orange Silk Meringue Buttercream (page 125) – whipping egg whites to stiff peaks

here is the first step for the making of ROSE’S heavenly CAKES:  (Pumpkin Cake with) Burnt Orange Silk Meringue Buttercream (page 125).

the pumpkin turkey cake took its own wings yesterday, when Rose announced it on her blog!  today, my email inbox is flooded with questions and comments, and i absolutely welcome and appreciate your feedback, it is needed to keep my mind rolling.  i won’t be able to address them individually, instead, i will continuously re-edit my initial blog posting with new information.

now, i want to redirect the attention and credits to the actual people who made this cake:  my youtube guests!!!!!!!!!  i hope you enjoy this baking lessons, as these are realistic as a reality show in my yellow kitchen.  please be my judge and my guest:

i find completely rewarded, that my youtube guests were not scared with the silk meringue buttercream.  it really was a lot of prep steps, but the lesson learned is that this is as good as buttercream gets.  the taste and texture is incredible and in conclusion:  WORTH IT.  the following week, my youtube guests made whipped cream frosting, they loved it and made it at home with the parents, but still agree that the silk meringue buttercream is the ultimate.

we made a double batch of buttercream, so half sits on my chest freezer for when my youtube guests learn how to pipe the roses!
