enjoy. this cake tastes as good as cake can get. i feel like i need to bake this everyday. the burst of lemon with the crunch of poppy seeds and the undertone of sour cream on a perfect melt-in-the-mouth tender butter cake is what most people will say “now, this is cake!”
i used 75% calamansi and 25% lemon. this is the cake i would make with any type of lemon or sour citrus, the rainbow has more than 7 colors in the lemon family!
CdS: “wow, this is good, love the punch of the sour calamansi. this is very very good. but, can we use light sour cream instead and no egg yolks?”
