Genoise 05 Rose (page 169) – the compleated take

these pictures slipped out of my mind as i thought i posted them, here is my completed (now compleated) ROSE’S heavenly CAKES: Genoise Rose (page 169).  it is a fabulous sponge cake, moistened with syrup from my favorite valencia orange tree, indeed the first orange tree planted in Hawaii circa 200 years ago.

      hi J, this is my very second cake baking for my take project, and indeed the last pictures for this recipe. i think tomorrow or soon, the last youtube video for this taping is posting. i really look back at these for all my energy for the 100 or so more recipes i will cover!

      the little ones are peels from calamonsi, they are dark green color. the bigger ones are peel from Rangpur (Hawaiian Lemon, a cross between mandarin orange and lemon, what Tanqueray gin is made from). these were done for the Golden Dream Wedding Cake, they keep well, then they finally cooked on my fruit cake take.

      thx R, indeed the Rose obsession is applied everywhere! i just find this nature element ideal as a motive for cake decorating.
