  1. Your decor looks so beautiful and lush. I just haven’t been able to acquire the Thermo-hauser tips. The best I have been able to find [at a fat price] are a polycarbonate, clear, set by Watfer. LA set of 9 large, beautiful tips and three couplers interchangeable. Do you know the ones? I hope they are good. They arrived today so I will use them this weekend.

  2. THANK YOU!!! for the link. I am sending back the Matfer set to Amazon and have ordered the blue polycarbonate set. I am thrilled. Granted price is prohibitive, but I really think it will be worth it. Thanks, as always, for your gifts to us all. j

Hector, do you happen to know if the Matfer tips produce as sharply defined shapes as the Thermohauser? They are available in smaller quantities, so I am considering them.

Here’s a link to a 12 pack of the Thermohauser:

And here’s a site that sells the Matfer tips in packs of 2:

  4. The set I got of Mafter through Amazon took over a month and they cost $102.60! They were very nice and are giving me a refund. Now! The super-nice gentleman at Sonridge called me right back when I left an email and put the set right into the mail – for $51.00. Truly I can think of some of these expensive cooking gadgets I have paid more for that will not be so helpful. The name of the person is Mr. Attridge at Sonridge. I am making chocolate butter cupcakes and waiting to frost them Monday when the tips should arrive : ) Plan to try to copy your super swirls!

J, great news, thx for the contact info. R u using mousseline or silk meringue buttercreams? I would say these are the silkiest and smoothest to pipe, and needless to say: the best tasting!

With the same open star large tip for super swirls, I piped daisy petals today!
