hector’s take on ROSE’S heavenly CAKES: Marble Velvet Cake (page 52) is a 1.5x recipe on a 12″ round pan. the bottom is lined with foil, so u can peel it off and reveal the marble patterns. I can’t wait how it will show.
i am replacing the chocolate with cocoa powder dissolved in espresso shots. 1 part cocoa powder for 4 parts of espresso shots, by weight.

Hector, was just going thru some of your previous cakes as a reference…why was it that you lined the cake pan for the Marble cake with Aluminium foil instead of parchment? Is it to get the pattern more defined or something?
correct, so it would stick and when peeled off would remove the cake crust thus showing the marble pattern.
