hector’s new take on ROSE’S heavenly CAKES: Torta de las Tres Leches (page 211).  i am baking the cake with a bottom layer of crushed mac nuts.  and here you go:

this is baked on 6×3″ pan

    H, I love the thought of adding texture to a tres leches. Is it just the nuts in the crust, or are there other ingredients as well?

    • J, I packed the pan with nuts on the bottom. I wouldn’t add anything “inside” the biscuit… ok, maybe lemon or orange zest or shaved chocolate, but that’s about it. I haven’t seen any sponge cake otherwise anyhow else.
