as hector’s take on ROSE’S heavenly CAKES is near ending, i decided that for the handful of cakes that i still need to take, i will prep ahead as early as possible.
for the Cradle Cake (page 61), i measured the dry ingredients at the same time for the spice cake with peanut buttercream and the sticky toffee pudding! flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, baking soda, if any, plus spices if any. all measured, stirred and kept airtight in the refrigerator (or freezer).
definitely helps to own more than one kitchen scale 😉
